Knit Encroachment

This is what your piece should look like when you are ready to knit the encroachment.

Slip this stitch from the Left needle onto the
Right needle.

Lift the stitch below the next stitch onto the Left needle
and hold the two apart carefully with your thumb.

Now slip first stitch on the right needle back onto
the left needle

Voila! Now work your pattern until you reach the point where you do it again.
